Tiffani Lewsley joined The Climate App at the start of 2020.
An active member of Extinction Rebellion and long-time activist, Tiffani has been making changes for many years in hopes to reduce her own carbon footprint and has always encouraged others to do the same.
As part of The Climate App’s Content & Community Team, Tiffani hopes to continue motivating and inspiring others to take positive actions in our everyday lives and to share how The Climate App can help us all to make change happen.

1. What is your name?
2. Tell us about yourself
I’m a Platform Controller working in automated TV broadcasting for the sports industry. Part-time I am a yoga teacher and massage therapist with a keen interest in eco-activism.
3. Why are you working with The Climate App?
The time has come to step up for the environment. Seeing the rapid decline in diversity within the natural world and the extinction of many species along with the wildfires in Australia prompted me to get involved.
4. What is your role at The Climate App?
I work alongside Becky, Astrid and Sophia in The Climate App’s content & community team. I manage The Climate App’s Facebook page and Facebook community group. I also write blogs for the website.
5. What are your main goals in your role at TCA?
To motivate as many people as possible to engage in working towards significantly reducing their carbon footprint.
6. What motivates you to make changes every day?
Thinking about what could be and the dire future consequences might be if we don’t take action now. Making changes is sometimes challenging but it is necessary.
7. What has been the most challenging change you have made or are trying to make?
Cutting out dairy and eggs was a challenge for me when I decided to go vegan, as I relied a lot on these for baking. Looking for recipes that worked out well took some experimenting but it was worth the effort.
8. The Climate App’s mission is to “Make Change Easy”, what are your top tips on making change easy?
Take baby steps first and get yourself into the routine of looking for the small changes you can make to your day which will have an impact. Easy ways to start are by researching better transport options, diet changes, cutting out unnecessary packaging and recycling what you do buy plus researching eco-friendly equivalents to products you use every day.
9. Any final thoughts you’d like to share?
Making change can be challenging but the effort you put in now will make a huge difference to the future. As Greta Thunberg says “no one is too small to make a difference”.
